There are many different types of designs for websites. For example; Metro, Masonry, Grid and column. Screen Shot 2016-01-25 at 10.10.06

I created the various designs on muse. This is an example of a Metro design. It is various different shapes scattered around. This is probably the design that i will use as it seems easy to use. Windows 10 uses a Metro design and it is used on their computer and phone products. This design looks very neat and professional.

This is an example of a Masonary design. This is a very popular design that is used on popular sites like Tumblr and Pinterest. This is often used because of its convenience, it is good for computers, laptops, tablets and phones. A popular website that uses this design is Pinterest. As you can see, all the pictures are all in different places, but slotted together nicely and it is all well presented.

This is the grid design. It is just squares of the same size aligned with each other. It is quite a boring design and is not used much. This may be because when scrolling down a page, it becomes repetitive and boring. A website that uses the grid design is Founder Mantras. For the purpose of the website, i think it works well and is a very fitting design. I also like how it is in date order and colourful.

This is the column design, again this design is quite boring and repetitive. You would also not be able to show much preview of your work.

I am going to use the Metro design for my work. This is because it gives the most variety and you can change the design up the most out of them all. I don’t always have to keep them the same shape and size and can change it to cater to what ever the preview is. I wasn’t able to find a website that uses this design and I don’t think i have ever used one that uses that design either.
